About GSDI

Hi, i'm Graham, born and bred in the Leicestershire area with a passion for all things photographic. After shooting for years in film I have switched to Digital over the last 3 years.

Digital imagery has enabled me to take the wonderful art of photography to another level.

My partner in crime is Suzy, we work together on all our portrait work, we are members of the 'Leicester Forest' photographic club and also attend the 'Royal Photographic Society' digital group meetings in Nottingham.

Although our work revolves around portrait photography we enjoy taking photo's of Animals, Birds, Landscapes and attend many Sports events in our spare time. We hope to cover all these subjects in the section 'Life Beyond A Portrait' so please come back and see whats new!

Suzy specialises in Digital editing of photographs with the help of Photoshop CS2 and creating those wonderful montages. I'm responsible for producing the photo DVD's using various other software. Restoring old photographs is also a passion of ours.

My equipment is increasing all the time and the list below is my current set up.

At the moment i'm using a Canon 40D. My lenses include the following; Canon 18-55mm, Canon 50mm 1.8, 17-70 Sigma Macro and a rather lovely 70-200 Sigma 2.8 which l makes life easier with the sporting pictures.
The studio setup includes 3x180w flash heads, Sigma flash gun, 3 umbrellas, a honeycombe highlight and a reflector plus various props.
